The spruce top adds brightness and definition to the guitar's sound, complimented by the warm and focused tones of the select Maple back and sides, making this guitar ideal for virtually any situation.
The EJ-200CE is equipped with two revolutionary pickups from Shadow Electronics. Beneath the guitar's compensated saddle, the active NanoFlex™ low impedance pickup simultaneously picks up both the vibrations of the strings and the movement of the soundboard, providing unparalleled natural-sounding acoustic tones without the harshness of conventional piezoelectric pickups.
The sound of the NanoFlex™ is perfectly complimented by the innovative NanoMag™ pickup mounted at the harmonic-rich end of the fingerboard. This pickup uses three high quality Samarium-Cobalt magnets and an integrated active circuit to reproduce the full range of the guitar's sound with incredible accuracy and detail.
Completing the electronics system is the Epiphone eSonic2™ preamp, which is equipped with an array of features including an onboard tuner and a feedback-killing phase invert switch. However, the most important feature is the ''blend'' control, which mixes the outputs from the two pickups together, allowing you to combine the crystal clarity of the NanoFlex™ and the sweet warmth and dynamic range of the NanoMag™ in any proportion. And with the choice of either 1/4" mono or 1/4" stereo output, you can either blend both pickups or send each output to a different speaker, providing enormous flexibility for you to find your perfect tone.
